How can I show links or enable supsect link arrows via dxl?

Hello dxl developers.

I'm currently trying to figure out links and dxl programming. At the moment, I have a formal module with objects containing links. I was wondering if it is possible via dxl scripting to display the "suspect link" indicator and to also be able to show for a particular outlink, all of it's associated link ID's. I realize both of these can be achieved via the layout dxl, but whenever I try to copy paste that code into my own code I always get this error:

-R-E- DXL: null Object parameter was passed into argument position 1
Backtrace:
-I- DXL: execution halted

I've also seen the option to convert the code of layout dxl to attribute dxl but after the conversion is complete, it is not possible to see the converted code. Any help is appreciated!

There is actually a much simpler question that would resolve this issue. Please see this example below

Object o

Print o."Object Heading"

In that example, it simply prints the heading of object o. Pretty much what I'm looking for is this example below where:

Link l

Print l."Link ID"

Of course Link ID isn't a valid link attribute command, but I'm trying to achieve something that would display the "Link Identification" of an outgoing link provided that the object has already been selected. If anyone has a list of "l.???" operations that would be great!  Or if you know of a way to achieve this.

Thanks.
